Amaravati started becoming knowledge hub with SRM University: AP CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said the new capital city of Amaravati has started becoming a knowledge hub with the launching of Amaravati campus SRM University.Inaugurating SRM University Amaravati campus along with Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu at Neeru Konda village here, the Chief Minister said Amaravati would not only be an administrative capital but also a knowledge hub.

Expressing happiness for establishment of SRM University in Amaravati, he said the varsity is the first major education institution which established its campus in the city and one more reputed educational institution VIT would also be established its campus in Amaravati soon. On the occasion, Mr Naidu hoped that reputed educational institutions would establish its campuses in the new capital in the coming days and if latest courses are offered the students would not prefer to go abroad to pursue higher education. Stating that revolutionary changes are taking place in technology, he said he had committed to making Andhra a knowledge hub. He reminded that the Centre is yet to grant Tribal University and Central University to the state.The Chief Minister announced that foundation stone would be laid for the construction of Assembly, Secretariat and High Court building on Dasara Day.
